Quick and Painless Grocery Lists

Making a grocery list can be very difficult, but it doesn't have to be. Today I am sharing my grocery list routine. Yes, I do use this technique for a grocery list every week.

Julianne & Company Grocery List

The very first thing you are going to want to do is make sure you have a piece of paper and a pen. (Well, duh!) Checkout these super cute refrigerator grocery lists I use from Julianne & Company. They make it so easy, I put them on my refrigerator and then when I know I'm out of something I just add it to the list while I am in my kitchen. These are so great too because you can write down the meals you plan to have on what day so you don't forget while you're at the store.

The next thing that I do is I consider what nights I need to make a crockpot meal because I am going to be home late. So for example my list for this week, I know that on Thursday night both me and my husband will be home late. So, I know that I need to have at least one crockpot meal for the week.

This part of the list is the most fun, I hop on Pinterest and look for either recipes I know we like or fun new recipes to try for the week. I try to only use one recipe a week that we have already had. We love to try new foods in our house!

You can pick as many recipes as you want, I usually always pick one breakfast casserole recipe for the week and then just dinner recipes, because we always have leftovers for lunches.

While picking out recipes always make sure to save them on Pinterest, because you don't want to lose them. I have done this before, and it makes it ridiculously hard to make the recipe (LOL Whoops). I also make sure to write down all ingredients to the recipe on my list, unless I know we already have it in the pantry or the spice cabinet.

After I have my list of yummy things I always go through my pantry and fridge just to make sure I didn't add something that we actually do have. Make sure that your list is nice and neat before you finalize it. The last thing you want to do is run around the grocery store going right back to where you were because you didn't grab enough of one thing (This happens to me often).

Finally, my last step before going to the grocery store is getting on my phone and checking Ibotta for any items that are on my list. If you have not heard of Ibotta download it NOW. This app is wonderful, they have great brands on it and it's even good to help you pick out new items to try from the store at a discounted price.

Now you can go to the grocery store without having to wander around the aisles and second guess if you have everything to make that recipe. I hope this post helped you all out.

Have you already heard of Ibotta? What are some of your favorite items? I would love to hear what you all like and try some new things!
